Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival & Heritage Tour of Cochin Welcome to Kochi, the cosmopolitan heart of Kerala. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After refreshing, embark on a heritage tour:

  • Dutch Palace (Mattancherry): View stunning murals depicting the Ramayana.
  • Jewish Synagogue: The historic center of “Jew Town.”
  • St. Francis Church: The oldest European church in India.
  • Santa Cruz Basilica: A beautiful Portuguese-built landmark (1557).
  • Chinese Fishing Nets: Iconic cantilevered nets lining the harbor.
  • Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 02: Cochin to Munnar (130 km / 4 hrs) After breakfast, check out and enjoy a scenic drive through winding roads to Munnar. This hill station is famous for its rolling tea plantations and crisp mountain air.

  • Evening at leisure to explore the local markets.
  • Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 03: Exploring the Greens of Munnar Spend a full day immersed in the beauty of Munnar:

  • Nature & Views: Visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, and the famous Echo Point.
  • Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai): Home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat).
  • Tea Museum: Explore the history of tea production since the 1880s through vintage photographs and machinery.
  • Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 04: Munnar to Thekkady (100 km / 3.5 hrs) Travel to Thekkady, the gateway to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

  • Periyar Lake: Take a boat ride (subject to luck/availability) to spot wild elephants and diverse wildlife along the water’s edge.

Day 05: Thekkady to Kumarakom/Alleppey (121 km / 3.5 hrs) Head to the backwaters of Kumarakom.

  • Kumarakom Beach: Enjoy optional activities like boating, windsurfing, or parasailing.
  • Overnight stay in Kumarakom or Alleppey.

Day 06: Departure from Cochin After a final Kerala breakfast, check out and transfer back to Cochin Airport (approx. 4.5 hrs) for your journey home, carrying memories of a truly riveting escape.
